Randy Bales brings a lifetime of Jefferson County roots and proven conservative leadership to his campaign for Mayor. As the youngest son of Guy Carlisle and Beulah Bales, Randy grew up on his family's New Market farm—land that has been in the Bales family since the late 1800s and remains in family ownership today.

For the past 15 years, Randy has owned and operated a welding and fabrication shop in New Market, creating jobs and serving the community he loves. His work history includes Old Dominion Freight Lines, seven years in finance, and Arconic. Randy and his wife Traci have been married 24 years and raised three sons here: John Tyler (21), Lucas (21), and Tucker (20).

Currently serving his third term as County Commissioner for District 7, Randy has consistently delivered common-sense conservative results. His extensive committee service—including Budget, Finance, Long Range Planning, and Regional Planning Commission—has given him deep insight into both the challenges and opportunities facing Jefferson County.

As Jefferson County Mayor, Randy will bring steady leadership focused on fiscal responsibility while improving infrastructure to meet growth demands. He'll work to attract industries to existing facilities, creating good-paying jobs that help reduce rising property taxes. Randy will continue advocating for our farmers, who remain vital to our county's identity and economy. His goal is simple: keep Jefferson County a wonderful place to live and raise a family while preparing for a strong future.

"I've known Randy Bales for many years, and there's no one I trust more to lead Jefferson County forward. Randy brings the perfect combination of business experience, conservative values, and genuine care for our community. As a successful small business owner, he understands how to balance budgets and make tough decisions. As a farmer's son, he knows the importance of protecting our rural heritage. And as a three-term County Commissioner, he has the proven track record to get things done. I'm proud to serve as his campaign treasurer because I believe Randy will be an outstanding Mayor who puts Jefferson County families first."

- Langdon Potts, Campaign Treasurer
